It does what I bought it for to charge my iPhone 12 at night while I'm sleeping I just put it on top and it starts charging I even have a clear case on my phone and it works perfect. This thing is feather light I was amazed at how light it was no weight at all to it. MaybeOne option I would add would be to be able to dim the display there's only one level, it either on or you can turn it off, I don't use it for an alarm clock i use my phone for that
